Chapter 115 - Winning The War
"The world is not completely unfair. There are always chances that some might get that will make them supremely powerful. I did not become like this because Fenrir chose me. I did not become like this because I was lucky. In fact, I am at the position I am in because I was unlucky, and a few wolves wanted to hound me to death. They made one slight miscalculation, and I became a werewolf. I earnt Fenrir\'s power. Well, all of this is pointless with someone like you. You are forever stuck in Valhalla. Maybe that is a boon, maybe it is your worst decision. But let me just tell you one thing. After the mortal realm, nothing even remotely compares in terms of opportunity." Lucas said.
He then sighed as he sat down.
"Looks like the twenty minutes are up. I have to go collect my reward." he rubbed his hands.
"Reward? What reward? I didn\'t know that the war had any rewards." Bjorn asked curiously.
"This is not for winning. This is because I was merciful and I did not kill everyone that I laid my eyes upon. I have been relatively tame over the past few decades. I thought that this would be a convenient place to go on a rampage, but it seems like other plans await me. I clearly have other things to do. For example, I need to go to a modeling show now." Lucas grinned.
He then looked up at the sky.
"I am pretty sure that you are watching. I have completed the requirements. Now it is time to hold your end of the bargain." Lucas shouted at the blue sky.
Bjorn could hear him, but curiously, the sound wasn\'t as deafening as he expected. It was like the shout was directed towards somewhere, and only that person could hear it properly.
Lucas felt a strong tingling sensation. He glanced at Bjorn, who was still looking at the sky with a little surprise.
"See you later kiddo. I have some fun to get to." Lucas grinned.
Lucas disappeared from where he sat. It was very similar to the time when he was transported into this war zone. But this time, he was transported to a grey room. It was the same grey room where Brinhyldr and the young woman were together a few minutes ago. Lucas looked at the blue ball on the altar with curiosity. He stepped towards the altar and looked through the crystal.
There were images all over the surface. Many of the warriors who Lucas left alone were still on the fields. With nothing to do, all they were doing was sitting around and waiting for everything to finish. One more thing that Lucas noticed was that there were a lot of skeletons still near the base. It seemed that only the hell warriors were resurrected, or all of the warriors who were left would be in a huge panic.
"So then. Which idiot dared to mess with my fight? If you dare to do something like that, you must be prepared to face the consequences." Lucas started cracking his knuckles as he looked around.
The grey room was completely empty, and the only way out seemed to be a door that was obviously closed.
"If I find out that she wants to cross me, then I kid you not, I will tear this place down. I put down a whole morning of fun because I respected your request. Now it is time for payment. I still haven\'t satisfied my appetite for blood yet." Lucas shotued.
"Calm down, Bearer of Fenrir." Lucas heard a voice behind him.
"So then, dear valkyrie, is this how you operate? Once you find out that you are about to lose your bet, you try and shift the odds in your favor? Since you are a fan of doing so, then should I do the same when one of your sisters accompanies me? I heard that all the valkyries have still not lost their chastity, and I am really curious what happens to one of them once they are no longer a virgin." Lucas said coldly.
"I kept my promise. What are you talking about? If you dare try to use underhand tricks on my sister, I shall no longer be polite. Guest of Odin or not. There are certain lines that I will not let anyone cross." Brinhyldr said.
She looked furious as she looked at Lucas. In her hands, a sword had already appeared, and it was clear that she was ready for a fight here and now.
"Lines that you would dare not cross? Who was it that revived warriors to continue to hound me? I actually got injured quite a bit. In fact, if those skeletons had some conscience, then they would strike at the right time, and I would be in quite the pinch. I would have lost. How humiliating that would be for me. And you dare say that there are certain lines that you wouldn\'t let anyone cross. How hypocritical. There are lines that no one will let someone cross. And someone dared to go against me behind my back. The last time someone did that, he went to hell." Lucas said. His eyes started glowing with a red tint.
They looked terrifying, and they made the effect of his anger even more fearsome.
"Someone tampered with the war? That was not known to me." Brinhyldr said with a low voice.
"I know that a valkyrie did it. I want every single valkyrie in front of me, and as for the valkyrie who did it, I shall personally completely undress her for my pleasure. After that, I will see if she shall satisfy me enough. If not, off with her head." Lucas said coldly.
"Don\'t go too far. I am still able to fight, and I will protect my sisters." Brinhyldr said.
"Maybe you will be able to protect that particular valkyrie. But Valhalla has twelve of them. Will you protect all of them? Forget all of that. Will you be able to protect yourself? I know that Odin isn\'t here. Or else, he would have known that even goddamn Loki is treating this as a vacation home. So then, choose carefully. Do you want to sit quietly and let me punish that one girl who wronged me, or start barking and let all of the innocent ones face the whip?" Lucas asked.
Brinhyldr gritted her teeth. She looked around with panic.
"There is no need to think that much. They are your sisters after all. Do you not have a little trust in their values? For you to be so sure that they broke the word that you gave me?" Lucas chuckled.
"I know my sisters. They did nothing wrong. Fine. They will all be here. But if no one did anything wrong, then you are not allowed to touch anyone." Brinhyldr said.
"Bring them in," Lucas said. He leaned on the altar as he looked at the door. The door opened, and eleven women walked in.
Lucas recognized one of them. She was the person who greeted him and Anglea when they arrived at Valhalla.
One thing that Lucas had to agree on, was that all of the valkyries were ravishing. Every single one of them arrived in their swimsuits, and Lucas salivated at the sigh of them.
Every single one of them were, of course, not happy with what they were doing. Lucas\' eye brows raised when he saw the last one walk in.
She was the most beautiful out of all of them, and Lucas also felt something really familiar with her.
Lucas smiled faintly as he approached her. He circled her, and was only a few centimeters away from her face.
"No touching! It has not been confirmed yet." Brinhyldr said.
"Don\'t worry about that. I am not touching her yet." Lucas smirked. He then inched closer to the valkyrie\'s ears.
"Eir, I presume? The rose in Odin\'s thorny garden. Where did he hide you all this time?" Lucas said with a faint smile.
"I am sure that you knew the moment that I would lay eyes on you, I would pick you. Maybe that is what had forced you to take that drastic step. But to actually break the rules that you are supposed to implement? Isn\'t that against your morals? I thought that you would learn better than that." Lucas whispered into her ears.
"Of course I would. I would never be with you. Just looking at you disgusts me." she said as she gritted her teeth.
