Chapter 149 Humiliation
Chapter 149 Humiliation
Midsummer Group was the possession of the Xia Family in the first place and was established by Xia Ling’s father, Xia Guangwei, after whose death, the group was sold to Liu Qiangwei by Xia Ling’s stepmother.
Frankly, Xiaofeng was touched by Liu Qiangwei’s words. Xiao Ling was Xia Guangwei’s only daughter, and naturally, the group belonged to her. Given this, Liu Qiangwei’s suggestion sounded persuasive.
“Yes.” Liu Qiangwei nodded, showing no mood on her beautiful face.
“Well, you’re really planning a good business.”
Xiaofeng sneered coldly at her answer and looked at her scornfully. “For the time being, Midsummer Group exists in name only and may be in debt. All the money you’ve spent on Midsummer Guild came from the group, didn’t it?
“You wanted Xiao Ling to take over a bankrupt company while you continue to lead Midsummer Guild to develop? And you even reckoned that I would not strike the guild but to help it in the future for the sake of Xiao Ling, right? Possibly, you might even have planned to tie me to your boat. How brilliant!”
Liu Qiangwei remained silent towards the words while Xiaofeng continued his speech.
“You guessed it right. I can not only help Midsummer Guild out of trouble but also promote cooperation between Midsummer Guild and Treasure Pavilion and make it develop faster and more greatly. But, why would I do that? What can I get from it?”
Xiaofeng let out a snort of disdain, staring at Liu Qiangwei, who made a mistake of thinking her plan brilliant.
“If Xia Ling takes control of the group, helping it would do her a favor as well...” Liu Qiangwei’s eyes glittered slightly at the finding that Xiaofeng did have a relationship with Treasure Pavilion. She tried to continue her words but was interrupted by Xiaofeng.
“Why would I start with a bankrupt and even indebted company to help her? Rather than a promising one, such as Mid-spring Group? Mid-autum Group or someone else? Are all the companies in the world inferior to Midsummer Group?” Xiaofeng showed a cold sneer.
“Because your target is inside Midsummer Group, and you will have a bigger chance to find that man out if you take charge of it...” Liu Qiangwei continued to say.
“Well, I prefer simpler ways—let him vanish with the group.” Xiaofeng interrupted her again. Back against the sofa and legs crossed, he continued, “So far, I only saw the suggestion beneficial to you. What price would you like to pay for it and how would you show your sincerity? I didn’t hear you mention them.”
Liu Qiangwei did not speak and avoided Xiaofeng’s eyes. She was not the girl who would show their weakness to beg for others’ mercy. Her eyes darkened at Xiaofeng’s overbearing words.
Convincing Xiaofeng was her last attempt to save her guild, and if she failed, she would lose the bottom dollar she bet on the gamble.
And she would have to face the miserable fate that she could not revolt.
“Well, this is not absolute that I won’t stop my plan,” Suddenly, Xiaofeng’s attitude softened. “On the contrary, I may do my best to help Midsummer Guild expand, such as making the Treasure Pavilion its partner, providing it with a token, and assisting the guild in the next defensive war.”
“Really?”
The words sent Liu Qiangwei a shiver of excitement, and she looked at Xiaofeng with disbelief as if she had been saved from hell to heaven. The help Xiaofeng would like to offer was irresistible both to her and the guild.
The cooperation with the flourishing Treasure Pavilion only could make up the short of money of Midsummer Guild. The pavillion now was so powerful and acknowledged by most of the people as the number one chamber of commerce in Huaxia District. With millions of players purchasing and exchanging there every hour, its earnings were shockingly huge.
Besides, Treasure Pavilion had always shut Midsummer Guild out, which brought many disadvantages to the latter. It seemed as if the guild was on the blacklist of the largest chamber of commerce in Huaxia District, as a result, many players had withdrawn from the guild.
What’s more, no one knew the value of the token of a guild better than Liu Qiangwei, who had spent one million yuan to get one.
Last but not least, the Midsummer Guild, which fell into decay, could not defend its encampment at the moment, but if Xiaofeng would like to help the guild, Midsummer Rose believed that the guild would be able to defend it.
She believed Xiaofeng could do that as much as she had doubted that Xiaofeng could fight against Midsummer Guild on his own.
“Of course, it’s true. But what would you like to pay for it?” Xiaofeng leaned against the sofa, calm and composed, and measured Liu Qiangwei’s sexy figure with his eyes and with interest.
“I’ve already promised to give you all my shares of Midsummer Group, what do you...” Before Liu Qiangwei finished her words, she suddenly stopped talking because she figured Xiaofeng’s intense gaze on her body. The gaze was teasing, which made Liu Qiangwei shiver. She could not help but bite her lower lip.
...
Xiaofeng suddenly noticed the Durex which was brought there by Qian Duoduo but was later thrown on the ground by him. He ordered Liu Qiangwei a teasing expression, “Go to pick it up.”
Liu Qiangwei’s delicate body went stiff, and her beautiful face showed that she was struggling in her heart. However, at last, as if she had resigned herself to destiny, she walked to the Durex with slow steps and picked it up, her fingers trembling.
At the moment she bent down, her perfect figure was drawn by her long white dress and appeared so charming.
“Tear it open.”
Xiaofeng put both of his hands behind the back of his head and showed a smile of an even stronger interest.
Liu Qiangwei’s beautiful, snow-white face was blushed, which made her look even more stunning. On hearing the words, she bit her lower lip even harder and reached to the saw-tooth edge of the package with trembling fingers.
“Wait, use your teeth, not your hand,” Xiaofeng continued to say, and his smile grew even bigger.
“Don’t... don’t go too far!”
Liu Qiangwei spoke feeling ashamed. She blushed to her ears with humiliation, and at the moment, she no longer looked ethereal but like a fairy who fell into the human world.
“It doesn’t matter if you don’t want to tear it open because I don’t like to use it actually,” said Xiaofeng with an air of indifference, and he looked as if he was enjoying a show.
“You!”
Liu Qiangwei was overwhelmed with shame and rage, panic and struggle. Finally, she raised the Durex, which brought her with much humiliation, to her pink jelly lips and gripped it with her pure-white teeth.
