Chapter 266 Skelly, Skarl, Skully
The [Saved Summon] skill description allowed her to save the summoned soldiers that she had done previously, meaning they would always be by her side unless she decided to remove them from the saved slot.
Though the first requirement was for her to reach level five to have the skill unlocked.
And since she didn\'t have the heart to unsummon Skelly and the other skeleton soldiers, Samantha decided to grind for levels.
During the grinding process, she had already completed the beginner quest requirement of slaying 20 slimes.
"That\'s right, Skelly, shatter those cores. Leave no slimes behind." Samantha clasped her hand excitedly, cheering for Skelly who somehow always failed to receive the Bravery buff when she cast them.
Despite not receiving the Bravery buff, Skelly seemed to have gotten used to it and had adapted to match the other three skeleton soldiers in terms of speed and dexterity.
Soon, an hour had passed by the time Samantha had gained 2 more levels, effectively becoming level 4. The number of slimes that she had and the skeleton soldiers she summoned to kill was quite a lot.
"Phew, this is exhausting yet quite exhilarating at the same time," Samantha said, acting as if she had actually moved an inch this entire time.
Besides doing a few walking to find more slimes around the area, most of the fighting was done by the summoned skeleton soldiers.
Checking up on her experience points, Samantha calculated that another 100 slimes or so should be enough to level up again.
"100 slimes… completely doable, but the respawn rate of the slimes seemed to be decreasing. Should I move to another location and hunt for other monsters instead?" Samantha muttered, thinking that searching for another 100 slimes would be time-consuming compared to hunting other monsters.
As of now, she still hasn\'t grasped the full capability of her skeleton soldiers, and she doesn\'t wish to risk them dying either.
Just when Samantha was pondering over what type of monsters are within her limit, Skelly used its skeleton hand to tug on her pants.
"What\'s the matter, Skelly?" She asked, raising an eyebrow in confusion.
Skelly made some gibberish sound noise while pointing its sword in a certain direction, almost as if it was telling her that they should head over there.
"Are you telling me there are some monsters over there to hunt?" Samantha knelt down slightly and asked, mainly because the height of the skeleton soldiers was quite short.
Skelly nodded his head when Samantha understood his gesture.
Meanwhile, Samantha glanced at the other three skeleton soldiers, and when they all gave the same excited gesture, she smiled in disbelief.
"Alright then, but make sure to cooperate as a team and not do any solo action," Samantha warned, almost as if she was a babysitter for a group of kids. Except, these groups of kids are a bunch of fierce killers that showed zero mercy toward their enemies.
Sometime later, Samantha followed the four excited skeleton soldiers as they marched their way toward the location.
And soon enough, they encountered a ferocious bear-like monster that was killing another monster.
Without hesitation, Samantha quickly went to check the information about the bear-like monster.
[Species: Bearaos]
Level: 7
HP: 450/450
Description: Bearos, a special class of bear animal that had undergone mutation. Its razor-sharp claw can scratch through even the toughest steel. Extremely competitive and fierce when attacking its enemies.
Reading the description and its level, Samantha was slightly stunned that her summoned skeleton soldiers are tempted to fight against such a monster.
Skelly and the rest were seemingly excited about the fight, but they still needed to heed her command. Thus, they all turned to Samantha and looked at her with sparkly eyes.
Samantha received critical damage at how coy they all acted.
\'Damn it, how could skeleton soldiers be so cute? They don\'t even look a bit scary.\' She cursed inwardly, feeling irresistible to hug them despite knowing they are just bones.
Nevertheless, Samantha nodded her head and gave them permission to fight. This time though, she was able to cast Bravery on all of them, buffing them.
Skelly, who had received the buff for the first time, seemed to have his motivation flared up. Skelly made some sound that was only understood by the other skeleton soldiers as he charged forward, ready to slice and dice Bearos.
The Bearos naturally reacted fiercely when it was provoked and raised its razor-sharp claw to scratch Skelly. Luckily, Skelly\'s speed was higher, and easily dodged its claw before making a horizontal cut.
The cut was sharp and precise, causing the Bearos to lose some of its flesh.
However, the Bearos didn\'t have much of a reaction and continued to fight back fiercely.
Alas, Bearos was still just a lone monster compared to the teamwork of these four.
It didn\'t take 5 minutes before the Bearos succumbed to its wounds and fell prey to Skelly, who casually placed its skeleton foot on top of its head with his sword raised up high.
The scene was quite brutal, but as a doctor, Samantha had seen a lot of blood in surgeries already, so the scene didn\'t affect her one bit.
Instead, she went forward and patted Skelly on the head.
"Good job, Skelly." She praised him sincerely, prompting Skelly to become shy.
While patting Skelly\'s head, Samantha realized the other three skeleton soldiers were looking at her with anticipation, clearly wanting a head pat as well.
Samantha chuckled softly but halted herself.
"Oh right, I haven\'t named the three of you other than Skelly." She said, pondering as to what names would fit them.
She then pointed at the first two skeleton soldiers. "You\'ll be Skarl and you will be Skully, and as for you-"
Before Samantha could finish her sentence, an incoming fireball was launched at her, and the third skeleton soldier who was waiting to be named wasted zero time using its body as a shield, blocking the fireball from hitting Samantha.
The scene happened so fast that by the time Samantha regained her composure, the third skeleton soldiers had started dissipating.
[Skeleton Solider\'s Health Point had depleted to zero and will return to nothingness.]
